Loving…HOTCHkiss creations

My dear friend Jade has recently launched her own business selling her beautiful hand-crocheted items. I was lucky enough to get one of her scarves for my birthday recently, which I love! Each item is made with the utmost love and care, using high quality yarns in gorgeous colours. Pop over to her website, or get shopping on Hello Pretty!

I have a bit of a confession.  I have a thing for phone covers.

There, I said it.  It is by no means a serious addiction (I “only” have about five different ones), but if I see a new phone cover that I like, and it’s a reasonable price, I can’t really resist.

This is why I’m really excited about Wrappz. is a South African based website where you can design your own covers for your techy gadgets.  It works through a really simple online tool, and you have the option of choosing one of your own photos, or a photo  from their extensive online gallery.

As if that wasn’t enough, you can also add text and manipulate the colour, orientation etc as you wish.  One of the best parts is that they offer cases and skins for almost every gadget imaginable, including the following:

Phones (iPhone, Blackberry, HTC, Samsung)

iPod & iPod Touch

Laptop skins

Games consoles

iPad cases (full size and mini)

Kindles & other E-readers

Sony Docking stations

Prices range from R179 to R599, depending on the item, and your item will be delivered to you within 10 to 18 days.  All items are made from the best quality scratch-resistant polycarbonate.  I think these can make for a really customize-able and unique gift for family and friends.  You even have the option of purchasing a gift voucher for your loved one, so they can design their own (teenagers would go mad for this).

So what are you waiting for?  Head on over to Wrappz to get designing!

Below are some designs using my own photos, what do you think?

Loving…Washi Tape online store

You may remember me raving about washi tape when I made my washi tape tealight candles, and I also used it for my red velvet cheesecake brownies victory flags.  I’m very happy to announce that we now have our very own South African online store dedicated to washi tape.  What a treat!  Below is a small selection of the beautiful range that they have to offer, and the tapes are incredibly well priced at R28 per roll (they’re usually at least R35 to R45).

Once you’ve purchased some beautiful tape from the Washi Tape store, head on over to their Pinterest board for some inspiration.  Also remember to Like their Facebook page to keep updated with specials and tips.  Here are some of my favourite washi tape projects.
